COO/Managing Director (H/F) - France, Annecy

Job Description:

The company is looking for a Managing Director France. He/She will be in charge of the Group French Subsidiary with P&L responsability, 350 staff split in 2 manufacturing sites.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and grow the French subsidiary from the sales to the manufacturing side:

- Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing facilities, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure that all projects are completed ahead of time and under budget.

- Develop, communicate, and implement strategies tailored to increase manufacturing capacity and performance.

- Provide leadership and direction to department leads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with former and new customers, vendors, and suppliers.

- Ensure that the company is complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to the industry including city and state environmental regulations.

- Work with the Admin Support Team to develop and implement employee training programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Proven business leader from manufacturing engineering background with either commercial, manufacturing or engineering background and ideally additional business qualification; e.g.MBA or MSc.

- Management experience in leading and managing a substantial industrial company – most likely part of an international group.

- Strong operational and commercial focus with demonstrable experience of generating organic growth on at least a pan-european basis will be of significant benefit.

- Experience within the manufacturing engineering which include metals, machining, automotive, aerospace or similar markets – background are not essential but would be an advantage.

- Leader, Motivator, Team builder. A highly focused, pragmatic and practical operational achiever, and a team player.

- Proven track record of delivering results over a sustained period and under different challenges.

- Bilingual French and English with significant management and life experience in France.
